Think Like an Engineer
The CrunchLabs team came to Enlisted with this mandate: to craft a brand identity and packaging design that would elevate Hack Pack as the "cooler, older cousin" to its comrade, Build Box, while maintaining a familial bond between the two.
Drawing inspiration from the visual cues of the coding world, we aimed to ignite the inner coder in every teenager. Our approach involved using a minimal color palette and a gridded dot graphic as a blank canvas for builders to unleash their creativity and bring their ideas to life. What’s more, concealed Easter eggs containing hidden codes are discreetly placed on the exterior of the pack, awaiting discovery by only the most discerning eye.
Not only does this new subscription box include all the parts needed to build a robot, but also a web-based coding console. This is where builders can unlock the real magic of Hack Pack by easily hacking the computer brains of any of these robots in a bunch of ways to completely level up the functionality. This convergence of hardware and software empowers users to unleash boundless creativity, creating ridiculous hacks and modifications.
Launched in April 2024, Hack Pack stands as a testament to the relentless pursuit of fun and goal to “Think Like an Engineer” embodied by Mark Rober and the CrunchLabs team.
