CHALLENGE
Vertical living
At Enlisted, we create compelling brands and innovative products for our partners. But we also felt compelled to work on a project we could call our own that would help improve the quality of daily life.
We wanted a product that could bring the great outdoors inside and would help us stay organized and decluttered. Our biggest opportunities were cleanliness, user-friendliness, and utilizing the strength of magnets.
APPROACH
Modular organization
Our extensive research process included function testing, engineering, and identity and package explorations. Enlisted conducted weight tests, examined drainage options, and explored various materials to create a superior product for the benefit of ideal indoor plant growth.
Our modular system of magnetic 10” x 10” plates maximized the product’s functional abilities, leading to the expansion of additional product offerings and sets of inserts tailored to home or office organization.
Perch by urbio
A new collection at affordable prices, Perch was created to further extend product offerings.
RESULTS
Simple and original
Urbio launched on Kickstarter and quickly took off as funding grew rapidly, raising more than $75,000 in 40 days.
Since then, Urbio has received multiple major design awards and has been featured in a variety of media, including ABC’s hit show Shark Tank, on which Urbio received three investment offers.
Urbio’s portfolio of brands now include Urbio, Perch by Urbio, and Sabi by Urbio, all of which were recently acquired by the organization and storage brand Honey-Can-Do.
